Donation to MCC

Morgan Community College (MCC) is proud to announce the donation of $10,000 to the Morgan Community College Foundation from FMS Bank.

The funding will be used to support MCC’s Business Partnership Program to further the recruitment of new students and support the economic development of northeastern Colorado.

“It is a great pleasure to be working with FMS Bank on the Small Business Entrepreneurship Program. We are proud to have FMS Bank a part of this strategic partnership,” shared Kari Linker, Director of Development for the MCC Foundation.

Morgan Community College offers a three-credit class titled Entrepreneurship Business Plan (ENP 209), which makes up the MCC Small Business Partnership Program. The course instructs students on how to develop a business plan, project costs, and figure returns on investment. The class size is limited to ten students. The program concludes with a competition for creating the best business plan—which is evaluated by members of the business community. The top three plans are financially rewarded.

“We are extremely proud of this program as it was featured as the 2014 outstanding program among the 13 community colleges in Colorado,” says Jaylene Evans, MCC’s Business & Applied Technology Chairman. “The past success of this program has been amazing, we would like to see it continue to build and grow with FMS Bank’s support.”
