Glenn Gus Antonopulos, a proud Colorado native, was born in Denver on February 22, 1939, the son of Gust and Opal Resley Antonopulos. He was raised in Hugo, Colo.

After receiving a Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State College in 1961, he taught at Kersey High for two years, and then for the Defense Dept. Dependents Schools in England and Germany.

He met Margaret Clark, another teacher, in England. They married June 21, 1965. The couple moved to Fort Collins in the fall of 1966 where Glenn taught mathematics at Lesher Jr. High until he retired in 1992. He had also earned a Masters in school administration from University of Northern Colorado.

In retirement, Glenn enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, gardening and collecting a wide variety of objects. His main interests included fossils, rocks, minerals and petrified wood. He was an active member of the Ft Collins Rockhounds and the Cheyenne Mineral & Gem Society.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Margaret, his daughters Nicole, Amy Sirr (Patrick) of Walla Walla, Wash. and Beth (Sam Mitchell) of Bozeman, Mont., as well as his brother Steve (Susan), and his four grandchildren.

He was widely known for his detailed memory for people and events, his love of storytelling, and his generous heart.

A celebration of Glenn’s life is being planned for next spring. The family suggests a donation to the Poudre School District PRSEA scholarship in lieu of flowers.
