Louis C. Wezel passed away on March 20th, 2024. He was born in Karval, Colorado, on September 21, 1935, to George and Lilian Wezel.
His dad passed away when he was 18, and he became the head of his household. His dream was to be a pro/semi-pro baseball player, but God had other ideas. That door closed for him, but another one opened. He met and married his wonderful wife, Maxine, on June 21st, 1955 and started a long life of marriage.
They lost their first child but knew that heartache would not stay. They had five healthy and wonderful children. Louis devoted his life to being the best husband and dad. He worked hard to make sure that his family did not go without. Yes, there were struggles, but because of his love for his family, he did not quit.
He worked for the county for many years, and during that same time, he kept the family ranch going. Louis never missed any of his children’s sports. At times it would be a struggle, but the beautiful couple would then split and go to games in opposite directions. Louis was always a man of integrity, compassion and generosity.
Louis is survived by his wife, Maxine; his children, Clinton, Kelvin, Carmen, Konda, and Kyle; 9 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Betty (Ken) Boxmeyer of Montana.
